This month, librarians, booksellers, and magazine editors across America recognized The School Choice Roadmap: 7 Steps to Finding the Right School for Your Child with two awards. The book won the top prize –– gold in the education category –– in the prestigious Foreword Indie Awards, which recognizes the best books released by independent publishers.

In addition, Independent Publisher magazine recognized Roadmap with an IPPY Award. Last year, Roadmap won a National Parenting Product Award and a Mom’s Choice Award.

“I am humbled and honored that The School Choice Roadmap is being recognized as a practical, effective resource for families,” said Andrew Campanella, the book’s author and president of National School Choice Week. “I thank Foreword Clarion and Independent Publisher Magazine for recognizing this work. I am also deeply grateful to our incredible team at National School Choice Week for their support. Finally, I enthusiastically thank Megan Trank and the Beaufort Books team for their trust, confidence, and stewardship of this book from its conceptualization to publication.”

“The goal of The School Choice Roadmap has always been to provide parents with a simple template for finding K-12 schools where their children will learn, thrive, succeed, and be happy. These resources have never been more essential to moms and dads across America, especially as parents reevaluate their children’s education after the changes in K-12 education this past year.”

“In addition to the book, our team at National School Choice Week continues to develop and provide –– at no cost whatsoever to parents –– resources designed to help parents navigate the school search process. These guides include COVID-era learning resources, information on school choice options in each of the 50 states, and a new directory designed to demystify the jargon associated with K-12 education.”
